Knowing your AutoBody Repair Shop

Knowing your AutoBody Repair Shop

It can be pretty simple to understand how a collision repair center works. At its most fundamental building blocks, you need a garage and repairmen to repair cars. We operate a lean business to attract customers by word of mouth instead of advertising our name on TV and in newspapers. If you take the big garage businesses for example, you’ll find that their customers pay for much more than just honest repairs.

 Overhead Costs

Who Pays Them? You would think that your repairman would get the bulk of the bill that you pay when you repair your car with the Kings of Service collision repair, but you’d be surprised to hear that your repairman only gets paid around $20 an hour of your possibly multi-thousand dollar bill. This seems pretty fair, but when you hear that Kings of Service auto repair shops charge up to 100% markup for parts, the math just doesn’t add up.

Where does your money go to?

Probably to that receptionist you had to speak to, and the marketing campaign manager that’s playing the commercials on TV, we say. It takes just one man to repair any type of damage to a vehicle, yet your bill can go to paying for hundreds of employees that are never even involved in the process of repairing your car.

 Where Do Parts Come From?

This is a great question that only your repairman can answer. Most repair shops will ask you what your greatest concern is. There are shops that will buy used parts, or aftermarket parts and try to pass them off as genuine. If your concern is to keep the lowest prices, Nu Way Car Center will let you know exactly how we obtain our parts and we will willingly show you where they are coming from. Which brings us to our next subject…

Are Used Parts Really Cheaper Than New?

Used parts are a great way to reduce the cost of repairing your car. If times are tight and you really need to save every buck you can, you might be able to go for used if the part isn’t too work and the function of that part isn’t extremely important. Generally though, new is always the most cost efficient route. The reason for this is that used parts are not generally expected to last as long as new parts, and if your used part breaks down a month after purchasing, you’ll probably be footed with another repair bill for the same job that you could have covered in the first place.

Nu Way Car Center  takes pride in providing you with quality service at the lowest possible prices. Our business thrives from your satisfaction and since we don’t advertise on TV, your satisfaction is our number one concern. We are dedicated to ensuring that your car is at its best condition that it can be when it leaves our shop.
